Kharkiv Women's Conference
The focus of the conference was a woman’s identity and place in the Kingdom. Although this is a broad focus or goal, we really did have great success. The conference went well. We had close to 200 at last count and 8 different churches represented. It was difficult to count everyone since we did not have enough chairs and many had to sit on the floor.
All of the messages were received well and we had a lot of ministry after the sessions. I would have liked the prayer/ ministry time to have been longer but because we had a last minute change at the hall, we were unable to do that.
We were blessed to have Vica, the worship leader of Fathers Love Church in Yalta, come with her team, to lead worship for 2 of the 4 sessions. She is so anointed in her worship. It was a blessing for all of us.
The 1st session-- We began talking about the lies we believe about what a women is and what we have to be/do, to be a real women and have value.
The 2nd session- We talked about the mistakes we make, to become this women we think we need to be and what that false understanding leads us to.
The 3rd session- We talked about how fear often rules us. Also how control and the Jezebel Spirit creeps in and actually gets us farther from what we want instead of closer to what we need.
The 4th session- We talked about who God is calling us to be and our place in the Kingdom: what that looks like and how this is for all women and not just a select few.
Sunday, the last day of the conference we found out was Lenin’s Birthday. Many people were in the Main square of Kharkov celebrating around the statue that still remains there. They were waving red flags, singing praises to Lenin and the Communist times, and carrying red carnations. This may be insignificant but to me it is a visual of the communist spirit that still lives and breathes here. This is the same spirit that has control after all of these years after the “fall” of communism, over many of the people. It is exactly the Spirit we are joining with the Lord in pushing back and breaking off of the people including the youth.
After the conference women are still talking about the freedom they received and how new hope has been restored to their hearts.
I believe that much bondage, was broken in the spirit, and what was truly dark was overtaken by The Light! I feel the Lord is saying that this is only the beginning of what will happen and that this should continue as a monthly meeting. 1 day, I session and 1 speaker, occurring once a month to feed the women of the body and continue the process that was started. I am waiting for the Lords directions and provision in all of this.
I knew before I started the process of putting on this conference, that it would be difficult, not just because it was the first time I ever did this here, but also because I knew we would be confronting and engaging some very strong and ancient strongholds. The warfare was so strong. Interpreters got sick, hall prices changed, times of agreement for the hall changed, misunderstandings happened just to name a few.
Any problems, warfare, sacrifices, or stress this conference cost me was worth it. I would and want to do it again. I regret NOTHING! These women, Gods heart, and Gods truth are worth it.
